Nonviolent Radical Party Convention for the universality of human rights begins

“It is necessary to choose immediately, to act, to create, to live and make people live”. This is the conclusion of the manifesto-appeal against the extermination by hunger signed by dozens of Nobel laureates on June 24, 1981 on the initiative of the Radical Party. Today these words take a run-up during the three days of extraordinary mobilization organized by Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational and Transparty on the social cry #fallovivere.

The protection of the rule of law has always been at the center of the battles of the NRPTT and will be the focus of the debate which will see the comparison between many international politicians on what has been done and how much remains to be done in order to secure the universality of human rights, the right to know and to defeat hunger, thirst, war and poverty across the world.

Now more than ever, at this time when the world’s main concerns are the terrorist urgency, worrying immigration and the nuclear threat posed by North Korea, the Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational Transparty wants to highlight all the mechanisms behind these phenomena and of which they are the main cause: the absence of the rule of law and neglect of human rights, the ongoing hunger crisis defined “the worst humanitarian crisis since the end of World War II” by the United Nations. Too often citizens are not properly informed or they fall prey of mass media pursuing partisan political or economical agendas: for this reason knowledge, information and public debates are needed.

During the Convention – which will be broadcast live by Radio Radicale – the fundamental principles of the rule of law will be discussed in several panels with important italian and international personalities: Fabrizio Cicchitto (Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee) and Amb. Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata (former Minister of Foreign Affairs) on the italian political front, Stefano Polli (Ansa agency) to represent the press, Sam Rainsy (Cambodian deputy), Paul Strauss (American Senator) and many others personality who have distinguished themselves in this common battle for rights.

You can follow the Convention through the hashtag #fallovivere. Only two months remain to meet goal of 3000 plus one members of the Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational and Transparty (#3001) which, if not, will be irrevocably closed as established in the Party Congress of September 2016. We are still 800 short and save 62 years of history of political struggles for the rule of law and human rights.

“The thought that my ideas, my love, my life, my vices will be alive after my death, it gives me spiritual well-being and enthusiasm. Each of us is body and story and we are seed that grows”, said a gentleman named Marco Pannella.
