Cardinal Zen’s message received loud and clear within Italian parliament

Last week Rome momentarily returned Caput Mundi in the struggle between democracy and human rights on the one hand, and the authoritarian model propagated by the Chinese Comunist Party on the other. While Hong Kong’s Cardinal Zen was rebuffed by Pope Francis, as was US State Secretary Mike Pompeo’s call to not renew the secret two-year agreement between the Vatican and the PRC, Members of the Italian Parliament representing six different political parties gathered with the Global Committee for the Rule of Law “Marco Pannella” and the Tibetan Community in Italy to speak up and defend freedom of religion for all.
