Demonstration of the Radical Party at the Iranian Embassy in Rome

On the 40th anniversary of the Khomeinist revolution, Thursday 14 February at 3 pm, the Nonviolent Radical Party Transnational Transparty (NRPTT) will hold a demonstration in front of the Embassy of Iran in Rome (Via Nomentana, 361) to speak out against the Iranian danger. The demonstration takes place while in Warsaw and Munich two international conferences will discuss the same issue.

Forty years after the “Islamic revolution” the Radical Party, Hands Off Cain and the Global Committee for the Rule of Law “Marco Pannella” (GCRL) will highlight the nature and the means used by the Islamic regime against their own people who find themselves deprived of the most basic rights, especially the rights of minorities, women and homosexuals. Furthermore, the Iranian threat constantly aims at destabilizing the Middle East (and others), through the continuous support of despotic regimes and interference against democratic dissidents across the world.

Hands off Cain will also present the 2018 death penalty data on Iran. The Ayatollahs’ regime maintains the grim record of capital executions in the world, second only to China in absolute numbers. However, Iran ranks first by the ratio of executions per inhabitants.

Former MPs Rita Bernardini, Sergio D’Elia, Elisabetta Zamparutti, Maurizio Turco and Maria Antonietta Farina Coscioni will be there; Matteo Angioli Secretary of the GCRL, Laura Harth Representative at the UN of the NRPTT and Amb. Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata former Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of GCRL will also join the demonstration.
