US President Reagan said: “Above all, we must realize that no arsenal or no weapon in the arsenals of the world is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.” While the repressive efforts of authoritarian regimes around the world are growing, only in the last week-end we witnessed millions of courageous people coming together to affirm the universal value of democracy and human rights. From Hong Kong to Belarus, from Cambodia to Thailand, to Nigeria, in their growing unity and solidarity a global movement is standing up and it will not be silenced.
